Ok I hear you alright, I know you do not think you need a recipe app but I am here to tell you that you really do :-)

Paprika is a recipe manager app designed to help users manage their recipes, meal planning, and grocery shopping more efficiently. With its user-friendly interface, Paprika allows you to save recipe sources, organize them into categories, and create meal plans for the week. You can also generate grocery lists based on your planned meals, making it easier to shop for ingredients. The app supports various platforms, including mobile devices and desktops, and often includes features like built-in timers and the ability to scale recipes up or down. ( This was copied from their site)

Now in my own words ;-) I bought this app for my phone and my desktop. It is a bummer that you have to buy it twice, but it is so affordable and they connect so it acts as one app. At the time of writing this post, the app has a one-time cost of $4.99, dirt cheap for what you get. The app has many features that I do not use and still find it so useful.

The best feature of this app in my opinion, is the browser section. How many times have you been on social media or somewhere on the web and you see a recipe you want to try later and then add it to some random bookmark on your laptop? I have so many random bookmarks it is silly. I used to spend hours hunting in my bookmarks for recipes I thought I had bookmarked or even worse try to remember what flipping browser I bookmarked it in.

In Paprika if you find a recipe, all you have to do is copy the URL, then paste it into the app and it will download to the app. You then add it to the category you want. Below is a screenshot of my home page on the app

You can even rate your recipes, I do not do that though. You can create as many categories and sub-categories as you like. You can manually add recipes too. You can scale the recipes as well. Here is a quick video on how one individual uses the app.

I reference this app at least three times a day. It is the easiest way to organize recipes and it is a lot of fun as well. It is so comforting to know that I do not need to search and search to find recipes. I rarely buy cookbooks anymore because there are so many fabulous free recipes out there.

If you cook even just a little I think you will be happy with this purchase.

PS I do not get any commission or discount from Paprika, I just wanted to share a random cool app with you ;-)
