If you follow me on social media you know that I am slightly obsessed with wraps and waffles at the moment. I am a carb girl through and through. However, when making wraps and waffles I will always try to make those carbs healthy and low-calorie.
Making wraps and waffles from good for you ingredients is so much easier than you might think. I credit social media for all of these ideas that pop into my head. I have tried the cottage cheese wrap trend and will label that a big fail. I try to stay away from dairy so I was not too sad when they fell apart and tasted like crap.
As always when I am in the kitchen I usually start with a blank canvas or a generic recipe I have seen. I then adapt it to my taste buds and to what I have in my kitchen. An example of a blank canvas would be the buckwheat wrap. Yes, the ingredients are just buckwheat groats and a few other things, but the yummy spices you add make the wrap special. if I am going to make a burrito I will usually add some cumin, chipotle, and chili powder. If I am making an applesauce wrap, I add cinnamon and nutmeg. Trust yourself and get in that kitchen.
Below are some of my favorite blank canvases. Since they are not my own recipes I will just leave the links for you. Let me know if you try any of them or if you have one to suggest to me.
Broccoli Mum is my gal right now. I love her style of eating. I also love how easy her recipes are. She and I share the same attitude about getting food quickly and easily onto our plates. Here are a few of my favorites from her channel.
Another favorite of mine is Pantiful Kiki
Lastly another person I follow that makes great wraps and waffles is Brittany Jarourdi
This is always an easy consistent perfect gluten free wrap with minimal ingredients.
The last wrap I will share is a wrap created by Noni. The wrap is made in the Thermomix but you can easily do it in a high-speed blender.
If you have a Thermomix or a high-speed blender and a good quality non-stick pan and waffle maker you can make yourself some kick-as-blank canvases.
What are you going to make first?

Ooo! Thanks for the tips for other good, gluten free noshes. I’m nots wrap love, but the Savory potato waffles sounds go the sweet potato flatbread.
I am all into potatoes right now girl. I have a bowl of golden steamed potatoes in my refridgerator at all times. If I get hungry I just pull one out and add a little sea salt. Yummy. I am glad you are a potato girl too.
